Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra

The Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra (RSYO), under the current direction of Christopher Cinquini, has been providing classical orchestral performance and learning opportunities to advanced high school musicians from Berks County and beyond, including Chester, Montgomery, and Lancaster counties. The RSYO performs an annual winter and spring concert, in addition to appearing with the Reading Symphony Orchestra at concerts throughout the season. The orchestra has traveled and performed in youth musical festivals throughout Virginia Beach, Boston, and Toronto. In 2000, the RSYO performed at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) annual meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The RSYO has additionally performed abroad with performances in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Prague, Italy, Vienna, and Budapest.
