  • Dinner will be served at 5:45 PM
  • Entrée selections: Grilled Swordfish, Florentine Stuffed Chicken, Mushroom Ravioli
  • Formal Attire optional
  • Transportation provided to and from the Reading Symphony Orchestra’s season-opening concert featuring Renée Fleming
  • End the evening with champagne and dessert immediately following the concert at the Santander Performing Arts Center

We are thrilled to be holding our gala celebration and 2021-22 season opening concert featuring Renée Fleming on Friday, September 17

The Reading Symphony Orchestra (RSO) remains deeply committed to the health and safety of our guests, artists and staff. The RSO, the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading and the Santander Performing Arts Center (SPAC) have put in place preventive measures to try to minimize the risk of COVID-19.

  • All staff of the DoubleTree will be masked and gloved during the cocktail, dinner and dessert reception
  • Dinner tables will be generously spaced
  • Guests are strongly recommended to wear face masks when not drinking or eating; faces masks may be required in enclosed indoor spaces
  • We will have parameters in place to promote social distancing

SPAC safety measures include upgraded auditorium ventilation systems and rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols throughout the building. You can view full Santander Arena and Performing Arts Center safety enhancements here:

We will communicate substantial changes to health and safety protocols in advance of the gala celebration evening and will also update this page with new information as it becomes available.

We respectfully ask that a guest who is experiencing any of the following stay home:

  • A guest who has COVID-19 symptoms.
  • A guest who has a COVID-19 test result pending.
  • A guest who is under a healthcare provider’s care for a positive COVID-19 test.
  • A guest who has been exposed to COVID-19 (unless fully vaccinated).

Specific health & safety protocols are determined by the RSO in its sole discretion and are subject to change. By attending a RSO event, you acknowledge that your participation is strictly voluntary and may involve the risk of possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
